Training Options

Learn suicide awareness, alertness, and intervention skills to save young lives.

Many people, regardless of experience, are looking for reassurance about how to help a young person who may be having suicidal thoughts. This help can range from identifying a person is giving out invitations to ask them about suicide, to having the confidence around responding appropriately and supporting someone effectively, in order to keep them safe from suicide.

PAPYRUS works with a wide range of organisations from schools to transport organisations and offer a number of training options to support you and your organisation. Click below to find out more:

  • Suicide Awareness sessions are a 90 minute community-based talk to break down the stigma associated with suicide
  • ASIST – Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training is an in depth two day course to build skills to provide suicide first aid interventions
  • PAPYRUS also offers bespoke (tailor-made) training for individuals and groups ranging from hour-long workshops to full day training packages based on your organisation’s needs

All our training is delivered by PAPYRUS staff, experienced in delivering community-based education. Our Suicide Prevention Advisors bring their experience of working with young people and caregivers which enhances all of our training packages and helps meet your training needs.

Be part of PAPYRUS

Suicide is the biggest killer of young people - male and female - under 35 in the UK. Many thousands more attempt or contemplate suicide, harm themselves or suffer alone, afraid to speak openly about how they are feeling.

We are the national charity for the prevention of young suicide. We draw from the experience of many who have been touched personally by young suicide across the UK and speak on their behalf in our campaigns and in our work. We need more people who share our aims to join us to strengthen our voice - together we can save young lives.
