We recently launched our brand-new campaign, Spread HOPE through soap.
Partnering with The Soap Sisters – a mother and daughter duo from Birmingham – we wanted to create a handmade soap that not only would be a great gift for yourself or a loved one, but would also help fund support for young people struggling with thoughts of suicide over this festive period.
The two soaps we created are scented with either berries or rock salt and driftwood, and will help anyone relax and rewind. From each bar of soap sold, £1.50 is being donated to PAPYRUS that will go towards funding potential life-saving contacts to our helpline, HOPELINE247.
Since launching the soap, we have been overwhelmed by the positive response from all our supporters, and have teamed up with some of Coronation Street’s soap stars to promote hope through soap.
Coronation Street actor, Peter Gunn – who plays Brian Packham in the popular soap – has given PAPYRUS incredible support and helped us to share our new campaign with other cast members including; David Neilson (Roy Cropper), Ian Bartholomew (Geoff Metcalfe), Mark Frost (Ray Crosby), Jane Hazlegrove (Bernie Winter), Ryan Russell (Michael Bailey) and Dolly-Rose Campbell (Gemma Winter).
“When I told them what the PAPYRUS soaps were all about there was absolutely no hesitation, they just stopped in their tracks and said of course they’d be really happy to help,” says Peter.
“Spread Hope with Soap is aimed at young people and right now we know that more and more are suffering, so it’s really important they know what help is available.”
We have also received some great reviews from people who have already purchased a bar of HOPE, helping to fund more potential life-saving contacts to our helpline, HOPELINE247.
Here are a few we have received:
“I ordered the soaps as they are donating to PAPYRUS – the soaps and bath bombs are gorgeous. Look good and smell good! I will definitely order more for Christmas presents.”
“I bought two of these (one of each) as I wasn’t sure what size they were. Having received them and being totally thrilled, I have ordered some more straight away! They look and smell beautiful and love that each one bought is supporting PAPYRUS, a charity close to my heart.”
“Look’s great and smells lovely. Very happy.”
Thank you to everyone who has helped to save more young lives this Christmas by purchasing a bar of HOPE this year. If you haven’t got yours yet you still have time!
