Media and Communications Officer
We are recruiting a Media and Communications Officer to play a key role in helping to identify, deliver and monitor media coverage, manage requests from the media and work collaboratively on our media campaigns.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous experience of working in a press office/newsroom or media organisation
- Experience of writing for print or broadcast
- Possess excellent and agile writing skills; creative and accurate
- Able to supply content on a variety of subjects for a wide range of audiences
- Be able to spot what makes a good story, act on it and tell it well
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the confidence and ability to pitch story ideas and engage with journalists.
Salary: £27,344 per annum (NJC Scale SCP 18) progressing by increments to £30,151 per annum (NJC Scale SCP 23)
