In the ever-evolving world of beauty, one name stands out prominently – L’Oreal Paris. We are thrilled to share our ongoing partnership with L’Oreal’s Bury-based team for the second consecutive year, as they continue to support the critical work of PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide.

On the evening of 6 October, L’Oreal played host to a heartwarming charity quiz event. PAPYRUS was selected, alongside two remarkable charities, akt – an organisation dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ youth facing homelessness, and Little Lady Locks – a charity providing specialised hair loss solutions to individuals under 18.

The evening was filled with a schedule of activities aimed at fundraising for these causes, including a raffle, an exciting tombola, and a product sale. The venue buzzed with enthusiastic supporters who came together to enjoy a spirited night of quizzing. L’Oreal adopted the ‘Speed Quizzing’ platform, bringing a dynamic and interactive atmosphere to the event, with questions spanning various topics.

The outcome was nothing short of remarkable – a staggering £16,000 was raised in a single night! We extend our heartfelt gratitude to L’Oreal for their relentless efforts in supporting not just one, but three extraordinary causes. Our sincerest thanks to L’Oreal for their unwavering commitment to fundraising and the invaluable role they play in raising awareness, a vital step in preventing young suicides.

L’Oreal’s involvement goes beyond monetary support. They have taken it upon themselves to spread awareness about suicide prevention within their organisation. Through a series of SP-ARK (Suicide Prevention Awareness Resources Knowledge) sessions, they are equipping their employees with knowledge and skills that will undoubtedly make a substantial impact on suicide prevention within their local community.
