Standard of Proof / Inquest Conclusions

Postby papyrus » Tue Oct 25, 2016 2:09 pm

PAPYRUS would like the law to be changed so that coroners can use the civil standard of proof rather than the criminal standard. Read more about the background to the current law and tell us your views here.

Hi!
We had scheduled to see our MP on Friday. He called us yesterday to explain that he will meet us after the election (if he gets re-elected) - so we have to call his office in mid-June to set up another meeting. Does anyone know the time scale for this "early motion" to change the law on suicide?

This is to let you know that PAPYRUS has made the case for changing the law to the Health Select Committee on Suicide prevention. They have thanjfully included a recommendation that the law be changed on this matter. It is now a matter of waiting for the government to respond. Hopefully they will accept the Select Committee's recommendations.
