DrawFor launches international ‘art with purpose’ collection #DrawForYoungLives; supporting artists and suicide prevention in the young.

Following the success of DrawFor’s debut campaigns #DrawForNHS and #DrawForEquality, the not-for-profit social enterprise announces the launch of its next ‘art with purpose’ campaign, #DrawForYoungLives. The campaign will feature exclusive and diverse artworks from international artists, available as affordable prints, with all profits from sales of prints split equally between the charity and artist.

The organisation, created to support artist talent and raise funds for some of the most important matters of our time, have partnered with PAPYRUS; the leading national charity dedicated to the prevention of young suicide. With suicide remaining the primary cause of deaths in under 35s, for both males and females in the UK, the campaign is designed to raise awareness of this tragic reality and helping PAPYRUS to provide support, advice and hope to individuals and families affected by suicide. The #DrawForYoungLives artwork collection will be available to purchase via DrawFor’s website and instagram shop, featuring works from artists including the playful cartoonist Rubyetc, mental health advocate Jemima Sara, feminist textile artist Jenny Mcilhatton, and Marseille-based illustrator David Vanadia.

“I’ve based this design on the famous William Wordsworth poem, ‘I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud’, which beautifully explores how the bond with nature is essential to human happiness.” - Malcolm Fisher, #DrawForYoungLives Artist.

The launch will see the introduction of improved sustainable packaging, gift noting, additional print sizes (A3, A2 and A1), as well as DrawFor’s new ‘Card Collections’; a series of 8x A6-sized prints, to be sent as cards or displayed as art in their own right.

Prints available from Monday 24th August | A3 – £25 | A2 – £55 | A1 – £95

NOTES TO EDITOR.

DrawFor is a not-for-profit social enterprise supporting international artists and raising funds for some of the most important matters of our times through the sales of affordable ‘art with purpose’. What started as a text between six friends (and family), is now a global community committed to ‘drawing for the things that matter’. With each new campaign, DrawFor partners with a charity dedicated to supporting a prevalent issue in society – from the environment to education, inclusivity and mental health. Working with a diverse range of artists to create original and exclusive artwork, DrawFor curates collections of meaningful, high-quality and affordable artwork prints.

All profits from sales are split equally between artist and the chosen charity. DrawFor’s debut campaigns, #DrawForNHS and  #DrawForEquality, raised over £20,000 in 11 weeks, supporting NHS Charities Together during the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, and Stand Up To Racism UK as a response to the global Black Lives Matter movement. DrawFor is committed to minimising its carbon footprint and environmental impact, with conscious choices for it’s printing and packaging process. Further, August 2020 saw the launch of the ‘DrawForest’; the organisation’s carbon positive rewilding initiative in partnership with Mossy Earth, whereby each purchase contributes to a tree planting scheme.
