Debrief service

PAPYRUS’s suicide prevention helpline, HOPELINE247, is not only here to support young people who are experiencing thoughts of suicide, or those concerned for them. It’s also here for any professional who has had an experience with suicide and would like to talk it through with a trained professional.

We work directly with first responders, doctors, nurses, police, counsellors, teachers, pastoral staff and more, on our helpline, HOPELINE247.

Certain professions will experience disclosures of suicidal thoughts more often than other professions, and it’s important that people within these professions can have the support that they need to look after themselves should somebody speak to them about suicidal thoughts.

Anybody can access our debrief service, and we would encourage everybody to get in touch with us to debrief, after they’ve had an encounter with suicide.

To debrief with one of our suicide prevention advisers, call HOPELINE247 on 0800 068 4141, text 07860 039967 or email pat@papyrus-uk.org every day of the year from 9am to midnight.
