The national charity PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide is proud to announce that our confidential HOPELINE247 service has been re-accredited with the Helplines Standard.
The award recognises best practice in helpline work and endorses the high standard and quality of service we provide.
Every week HOPELINE247 receives hundreds of calls, texts and emails from children and young people who are struggling with life and those who are concerned about someone who may be having thoughts of suicide.
The Helplines Standard reassures everyone who contacts us that they will receive a professional, responsive and caring service.
Kelly Thorpe, Head of Helpline Services at PAPYRUS, said: “The Helplines Standard is a nationally recognised quality standard which draws on more than 20 years of experience and knowledge-sharing.
“This award underlines the vital work we do in providing practical advice and support and recognises we are meeting the needs of our service users, our trained suicide prevention advisors, funders and everyone who comes into contact with HOPELINE247.
“We also hope that accreditation with the Helplines Standard will help PAPYRUS to secure vital additional funding which will allow us to continue saving young lives.”
