Help to prevent young suicides in London and South England

Join us in Eastleigh, Hampshire on 19th April and London on 21st April to discuss how you might help raise awareness in your local community.

PAPYRUS the national charity for the prevention of young suicide is calling on support from people in the South of England to help reduce the number of young people who take their own lives.

Each year in the United Kingdom more than 2,100 young people under the age of 35 die through suicide. PAPYRUS believes this is a national scandal and needs to be talked about. If you wish to help young people in your community, the charity is inviting you to an open meeting to explore how you might become involved.

Hampshire - we will meet at 7pm for one hour on Thursday 19th April at the Wells Place Centre, Wells Place, Eastleigh SO50 5LJ.

London - we will meet at 11.30am for one hour on Saturday 21st April at the Brixton Community Base, Talma Road, Brixton, SW2 1A5.

You’ll meet some of the PAPYRUS team as well as current supporters, in a very informal environment to learn more about the charity’s programmes and discuss how you might be able to help raise awareness of young suicide prevention in your own community.

The meeting is open to everyone but in order to accommodate numbers, please book in advance. To register, or if you would like to speak to someone for more information before the event please call Louisa at PAPYRUS on 01925 572 444 or email louisa.walmsley@papyrus-uk.org A nominal £5 donation is suggested; free to PAPYRUS members. - ends -
