New Chairman and Chief Executive Officer appointed
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Ged Flynn as Chief Executive. Ged has taken a lead role in a number of charities and brings to PAPYRUS an enthusiasm for learning from significant change, especially following death or major loss.
"PAPYRUS is an incredibly important organisation and a unique one in that its focus is on young people and their families," he said. “I believe in it passionately and am looking forward to leading the charity forward to its next phase.”
The Board of Trustees has elected vice chair Stephen Habgood as chairman, following Anne Parry who has stepped down from the role, which she has held since 1990. Stephen is a prison governor within the National Offender Management Service of the Ministry of Justice.
He commented: “With steady growth under Anne’s leadership, PAPYRUS has reached an exciting stage in its evolution and I believe we are in an excellent position to extend our work promoting positive mental health and wellbeing with young people and their support groups. The appointment of Ged Flynn strengthens our management team taking this lead.”
Four new trustees have joined the charity’s board.
