Friends United on the Run

Thoughts of lost friends inspired this group to raise funds, helping us to help other young people.

Five years ago one of our closest friends, Sebastian Braddell took his own life at the age of 21. It was totally unexpected and had a devastating effect on his family and friends. Since then two more friends, young men of a similar age, have also taken their own lives. Sadly as we know, this is not uncommon, but it is a problem that people are reluctant to talk about.

We wanted to organise this run not only to raise money for a wonderful charity which is working to prevent people like Sebastian having to go through what he did and ending his life, but also as a way to remember and celebrate his life. I think everyone has learnt a great deal from going through those tragic times. However it is all too easy to forget that we are three men down still and always will be.

We would like to thank all those who have sponsored and supported us and hope that you will continue to do so for such a worthwhile charity.
