PAPYRUS relies heavily on fundraising and donations from people in all walks of life and we are extremely grateful to our volunteer supporters. There are numerous ways we can benefit from your help and experience. We need funds to continue to develop and grow, to help us to reach young people and those working and supporting them - to raise awareness that suicide is not necessarily the ultimate result of feeling suicidal, that there is hope and we can help.

Donations help us support our national helpline HOPELineUK, which is ‘manned’ by trained professionals who give practical advice and support - what to say and do - to hundreds of young people worried about themselves and others concerned that a young person they know may be feeling suicidal.

Giving a little of your time - and often considerable energetic effort - can be very rewarding, knowing that you are helping to save young lives. It can also be fun.

If you have the will, and however you choose to support us, we can assist with advice and ideas to help you reach your fundraising target. If you decide on sponsored sporting activity, we can kit you out with running vests, tops and hats.

How to Donate

Donate at justgiving You can use JustGiving to make a single or monthly donation to PAPYRUS. JustGiving accepts all major credit/debit cards and will automatically reclaim 28% in Gift Aid if you are a UK taxpayer.

Donate at Givenow.org This links you to our Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) web page where you may donate by card or your CAF Charity Account if you have one.

Set up a regular gift To make a regular payment direct from your bank account please complete the standing order form and send it to our Burnley head office address. If you prefer to give via credit or debit card this can be done by telephone at our head office tel 01282 432 555 Legacy Leaving a gift to PAPYRUS in your will is an amazing way for you to support PAPYRUS beyond your own lifetime, knowing that you are continuing to help protect vulnerable young lives.

Whichever way you choose to donate please complete a Gift Aid form. If you pay any form of income tax, a Gift Aid declaration can let us reclaim 28% of your donation from the Government. This means that for every £10 donated, PAPYRUS will receive £2.80 from the tax office. Hence at no extra cost to you, your donation becomes £12.80.
