HOPELineUK is staffed by professionally qualified advisers who can give support, practical advice and information to anyone who is concerned that a young person they know may be suicidal.

The helpline launch was held at the call centre in Wrexham, north Wales on September 9th. It was attended by representatives from a variety of backgrounds: health, education, social services, police and prison service as well as from voluntary organisations like Samaritans and Childline.

Patron David Hanson, Minister of State for Northern Ireland, said ‘ I do not just support this charity as an MP, I support it as a human being. Along with my right honourable friends Simon Hughes of the Liberal Democrats and David Heathcoat-Amory of the Conservatives I believe that PAPYRUS is doing a vital job. If this helpline can save just one life

YoungPAPYRUS is now in its second year. This year  the group is hoping to develop a web site in order to raise mental health awareness amongst students. This website will aim to provide general

I have visited your website many times; I am really impressed with it, as it's really informative for health professionals, parents, young people and students. I work with young people in schools raising awareness around mental health issues and also focus on suicide prevention. The video "Don't Die of Embarrassment" was excellent and provoked a really interesting discussion. Keep up the good work
