Text Box: Well done lads !

Gary Crawford from Berkshire and Ross Jennings from Cheshunt successfully completed the 25th LONDON MARATHON and raised £2,775 for PAPYRUS

After months of hard training

PAPYRUS member Barbara Waite, (Barbara Robotham, Professor of Singing, Royal Northern College of Music), recently organised a “Cavalcade of Song” evening in Lytham, featuring three of her students  and her ever-willing accompanist, Roderick Barrand. They provided, as always, an extremely enjoyable high quality entertainment. We wish to express our most sincere thanks to Barbara, her singers and Roddie for their hard work and continuing support for PAPYRUS.

It would help us with our work in the office if members could pay their subscription by standing order and, if they are UK taxpayers, sign a Gift Aid declaration.

For every £1 donated PAPYRUS can reclaim an extra 28p from the Inland Revenue. This is a valuable extra source of income for us.

also …

Could we also remind members who are organising an event or fundraising activity to send details to the office outlining the event -

a photocopy of a ticket or flyer will do - and stating whether the funds raised are for general use or for a specific project/purpose.

Then we can appropriate the funds accordingly.

It’s was such a great feeling knowing that I had so much support from people along the course and also those at home watching on BBC. It was such a marvellous day and an even better one by crossing the line after 26.2 miles knowing that money raised was going to such a great charity – PAPYRUS.

Once again a big thank you for sponsoring me.
Kindest Regards Gary Crawford

Legacies are an important source of funds for charities.

Outright gifts and bequests to UK charities are completely free of inheritance tax.

So money can be left to charity knowing that it is a tax efficient way of giving.
